Hi
Anyone been to the exhibit? Is it worth an hour journey and 13,000 won?
Thanks |

Sorry, I haven't been to it. It's only aboiut 10 minutes away from me, and I was thinking of taking it in this weekend, but 13K? Come on! Do we get a lock of Chewbacca's pelt for that, or do we just take it up the ass from Vader's light saber? |

It's not worth W13,000, unless you're a hardcore fan.
You'll see some costumes, some models, a couple of full-size mock-ups of boring ships from the "Episodes" (a pod racer and a car).
Mediocre, at best. |

The time warp star tunnel thing was freaky......wish I could do it agian without having three little ones attached to my fingers and the Korean mom's pushing me through.....
As for the rest....I wouldn't go unless I was bringing a child |

Went two weeks ago. It was a nice, quiet, other worldly, creative, highly interesting 'escape' from contantly almost bumping into people streaming the crowded mallevard (like boulevard). I took about forty photos, without flash as instructed. There are 160 exhibits. Is it worth 13,000? Yes! IF you like Star Wars alot.
The models are ones used in filming the movie. The Imperial Cruiser model is as big as a sofa, but arrowhead shaped. Taking photos it's possible to savour the patina, deliberate scuffing, of the models. And they have aged over the years, they're the real thing! So much imagination in the creations, it's liberating to see.
The chariot racer is there without the rocket pods that dragged it, awesome. There's another, full-sized pod car. R2D2 and C3P0 actual suits, used in the movie. X-wing fighter with R2D2 embedded in the wing outside, full-size, used in the movie. Actual size hand-held laser blasters and lightsabers. And so on, plus lots of framed sketches of design ideas in process. Remember the Imperial Deathstar Luke blew up. That original model is there, was used in the film. |

I am a pretty big SW fan but even I didnt think it was worth the price tag. The best part by far was the warp tunnel. It was like a ten second hit of a acid where the walls are moving and the floor is melting. I did it about five times. I might go back just to ride it again. |

Ironically, everyone seems to be raving about the warp tunnel, which we skipped. I'm sure it's the same deal they have at Lotte World, though. |

And what about that skinny-ass Darth Vader? Hell, Captain Obvious made a better Vader (if you don't know who Cappy 2.0 is you missed some of the best days here at ESLcafe). |
