|
|
This just in on the AP wire:
Quote: |
Boston (AP): Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass) instructed his staff to undermine his own bid for the Democratic nomination in 1980 only weeks into his run for "personal reasons."
Kennedy was presumed to have lost to Carter, whose base was larger in the South. However, a set of documents from the Kennedy campaign manager have recently surfaced as a result of inquiries made by a new Kennedy clan biographer. Apparently, Senator Kennedy received pressure from undisclosed sources in the Justice Department to back out of his bid. Certain operative in the Justice Department apparently feared that if Sen. Kennedy's candidacy were successful he would as President gain unprecedented access to FBI files that might reveal the identites of his brother's real killers. |
Reportedly, lurid details of the contents of these documents will be revealed in a forthcoming book: The President Who Never Was: The Untold Story of Ted Kennedy's 1980 Campaign from Regan Press. |

Ted Kennedy 101: Why he could never be President?
The Chappaquiddick incident
(chap-uh-KWID-ik) An automobile accident in 1969 that greatly affected the career of Senator Edward (Ted) Kennedy of Massachusetts. A woman on Kennedys staff drowned at Chappaquiddick Island, off the Massachusetts coast, after a car that Kennedy had been driving, and in which she had been riding, went off a bridge. Kennedy survived, but delayed informing the police, and has never provided a full explanation of the incident. Afterward, many voters lost confidence in Kennedy, who had been considered a strong possibility to be nominated by the Democratic party for president.

Is this the lurid news that is coming out? Perhaps we will get the ARRB report too. Or even the House Select Committee on Assassinations finding ( way back in 1979) , the official government report which raised serious doubts about the Warren Commission.
HSCA report:
http://history-matters.com/archive/jfk/hsca/report/contents.htm
What is not widely known is that Chappaquiddick was Ted's Watergate. Clearly designed to prevent him from getting to the White House and exposing his brother's ( both John and Bobby) real killers, Chappaquiddick cost the life of young Mary Jo Kopecknick.

My post was planted. That's a bogus AP wire story: I wrote it myself.
I threw out the bait and you gulped it hook, line, and sinker. Too easy.
Careful: you don't want to become ddelusional like ddeubel |

I think you better re-read my response. I clearly stated that story was nonsense. Good writing though. It falls into the category of a limited hangout or false flag. Doesn't matter if you wrote it or not.
Again : Ted Kennedy 101
Go back to school, and learn about what you are writing about. And thanks for bringing up the subject.... |

Now we need to walk Mcgarrett through writing 101, Sarcasm. In this case it means I didn't really believe the story, or because of my understanding of the matter, knew it was superfluous at the very least, or as I stated earlier a false flag or limited hangout.
We will get you there, buddy.
Keep a stiff upper lip.
You will figure it out someday. |

My apologies. In the future it will be "the moderator" . And to think of all the times that I got bent when my Adult students called Flight Attendants , Stewardesses.
See the article in Winkipedia on Flight Attendants.

I am indeed....and not beyond putting a bit of stick about to ensure users play fair and nice.
Planting a phony post with the intention of insulting responders afterwards is not fair and nice. |

So you're telling me that all the other threads posted to this forum were sincerely motivated and never had any intention to provoke the ire of certain posters? Are you being disingenuous or merely naive, or simply self-serving?
You can delete the thread for all I care. It's served its purpose. It wasn't intended to insult but to expose.
And since you're devoted to your role on this forum, I'm sure you'll hunt down every rude remark made by posters here. Then search out all the remarks made unfairly. That should keep you preoccupied for the better part of next month.
Oh, golly gee, I forgot that if you're not nice, you've committed a grave sin in the PC playbook.
By the way, isn't "moderator" a euphemism for "censor" on these boards? |

It must be pretty embarrassing to get caught in a lure like that. |

I think it is time for some of the members to re-read the forum guidelines. You can start with this one:
8. Members have every right to enjoy a safe and cordial environment for discussion. It is not acceptable for Dave's ESL Cafe users to harrass, stalk or intimidate any other Dave's ESL Cafe members, on or off the board, privately or publicly. Members are also not to use Dave's ESL Cafe's forums or private messaging system as a means to arrange fights or threaten violence. Users found to be doing any of the above will face immediate sanctions.
You have called me an anti - semite. ( who is this Meegook , anyway?) Another suggested that I kill myself. Regicide rhymes with suicide I guess. You are out of control.
You guys are also stupid. If you would simply ignore someones post, it would go away. Instead you insult the person, who responds and then the post goes to the top. There should be an ignore feature. You probably wouldnt use it anyway. You love to argue. |
