Probably been done to death in here - I don't know. Have any guys actually dated a western woman they met in Korea? Not just a shag but actual bf/gf thin. Just curious. If so, how did you meet them?

Why would you? They are usually large-boned women with serious personality problems. If you are going to deal with frustrating mental problems then you might as well have a thin sexy Korean girl.

I suppose the guys that are always dissing western women on this board are dating Korean Models who also happen to be Seoul University Graduates with well rounded personalities

2 years in Korean and I've dated several western women (2 Canadians, 3 Americans, 1 South African) and at this point, 1 Korean gal. Frankly I prefer the Western girls because I can have a decent conversation with them. Those who know me, know I have a tendency to be overly intellectual/theoretical and I listen to "goth" music. These things are not possible to enjoy with Korean gals (unless the dame is damn good at English).
On the other hand, I am rather tall 6'3, and while very fit, I am very muscular (36 inch waist, 52 inch chest, 18 inch bicep), Korean gals don't like this very much, much prefering little, non-intimidating men. Western women can appreciate this.

The following arguement is not me attacking you bellum 99, but rather every Santorum-headed (that should get around the swear filter), guy on here who presents that arguement regularly. I don't know you, but know that I'm not hating on you specifically.

I have to disagree Demonicat, not all Kgals are lacking in the English skills. I won't go into a long diatribe about my wife, but her English was great when we met 9 years ago and it's even better after living in the states for 8 years. It helps when they've lived abroad and studied for a few years (Mine was in Auckland, NZ for five years before I met her) - and she thought I was ugly, not sexy! As for the strong vs. weak thing...my old lady could punch a hole through my chest without blinking.

Superfly- While tempted to make a joke about if you're a dog, then... But I won't. Note if you will that I said, "Unless they are good at English". In that situation, as is the case with you wife, Korean girls are just as good for talking as any other, sometimes better (as they have a different world view). As I've said, I have dated a Korean girl, and though a little more prone to lying (not a Korean thing necessarily, it was probably just her), she was great fun.


Bellum-Hey man, frankly I didn't want to start a fight with you, but you pissed me off by insulting the ladies. That is something that a gentleman never does (I know, ladies, you can defend yourselves). Onto the subject at hand though, I notice you were willing to say that I was a tiny black nerd (urkel)- which I must admit is funny (most people growing up called me "doogie howser"), but yet you had no retort for my calling you an aging bald Canadian who needed a submissive woman. C'mon man, that was the real dig- I demand a snappy answer to stupid questions for that one.

I met my current girlfriend here in korea and we are getting married in may. She is not fat or has a personality disorder. She is the best woman I have ever found. I have dated korean girls previous to her but it never worked out. ( should mention though I am also a girl )

There is lots of cool western girls out there looking for a western guy because well...they seem to say that korean guys don't quite meet thier needs. I think most of western guys are losing the cute western girls to military guys. (my opinion)
