I will be travelling to Hong Kong and Thailand soon and wondering about which currency is best? I'm guessing US dollars will be convenient.
Any ideas appreciated.

For global travel either US dollars or EUROs are equally acceptable and accepted. Use the one you are most comfortable with.

Just try using a Euro outside of Incheon Airport or major "downtown" Seoul banks in Korea. It won't work. Hong Kong loves US dollars.

I keep 1000 US in my passport wallet hung around my neck - just in case.
