| I think just about everyone needs a visa for China. If you're leaving the airport, then you need a visa. If you buy your ticket from a travel agent which specializes in China, they will take care of it for you. |

| What if one wish to take a boat to China, is it possible to get a Visa upon arrival, or is one need before departure? I am not sure that I've ever seen this topic addressed. |

korean passport holders are the only people who can get a visa on arrival (you need to pre order it when you buy the ferry ticket). i think that's only on inchon-weihai or inchon-qingdao routes too. every other nationality (except chinese of course) needs one before they get on the boat.
go to the embassy.
and yes, this has been addressed before. |
