| I would imagine you could open a PC bank account, as it is not a bank that really exists anyway, but maybe not... You might wat to give it a try. |

You can open an account for Canadian currency. I know, I did a few years ago, but I won't do it again. A friend and I had the same problem with our Canadian currency accounts; when it was time to take our money out, the bank was going to charge us some fee. Beats me why, but that's how it works. Well, that's how it worked at the time.
I had also a US currency bank account (still do) and there was no charge when I wanted to take money out. I really can't understand why, but I didn't complain!
What my friend and I ended up doing was to transfer all our money from the Canadian currency accounts in Korean into a regular account back home in Canada. That way, we only had to pay the transfer fee, which was better than the fee they were gonna charge us here in Korea.
BUT!!! Rules may have changed, so you'd better make sure with your bank about the various fees. At any rate, you can open an account for a different currency than Won. |
