I've tried searching with no luck. The Lex Kim English School seems to stand out amongst other hogwons i've searched. I'd strongly appreciate any further information one might have. Thank You!
here is their website: www.lexkimjob.com/
their apartment also looks very nice from the website. |

Don't be surprised if the one on the website is not the one you get. Remember, some, but not all hagwon owners are snake-oil salesmen. |

unusually high actually. according to englishkong its between 2.4-2.9mil/won. the vacation days are crap, but the salary definitely makes up for that. and overtime is stated at $50US (23hr/w normal load)
So everything looks very solid, but always the feeling suspicion since it looks like such a decent situation. heres the link to english kong

Have an interview,check it out.
Public school positions are safe gigs but I feel pretty hamstrung with what I can do.
Hagwons can pay more(though they can also have a risk factor)but if it's a school with an actual workable curriculum, then,it could potentially be a lot more interesting. |

Lex Kim is looking for only the best.
He has a very strong educational philosophy, and demands much from his students, turning away huge numbers of them if their marks are not high enough or if they or their parents are not repsectful.
All male teachers must wear white or light blue dress shirts (no black, brown, pink, etc) and a tie. They must also keep their hair short, cut above the ear, and wear no facial hair. The school puts forth a very conservative image.
The position is in Daechi. The pay is decent, the benefits good. Seems a demanding and possibly high-stress position, but could be great for someone out there... |
