Megabox: Ewha/Shinchon Branch is opening on September 22. Last night when I got home there was a flyer stuck to the door with info about it. It will be in the new Migliore building where the 신촌 기차 역 used to be.
I'm pumped since I'll be able to walk there in 10 minutes from my apartment! |

there is a sign near there, though, that reads "former shinchon railway station" or something to that effect |

Funniest damn thing.
They built the new station, shopping area, parking garage, and whatnot all around the old station building with, I thought, an eye to preserving it. Then they open up the new area, put scaffolding around the old Shinchon station, completely tear it down and rebuild it in the same shape.
I'm sure there's a metaphor in there somewhere. |
