I read the previous posts about getting shots to go to Indonesia and was just wondering if Bali is also dangerous for Malaria, Menengitis and Japanese Encephalitis...

I'd rather not have to get those shots before I leave if I don't really have to...

And what is the best medicine people can recommend for Malaria? I've heard of one at least with severe side affects...

Got advice on encephalitis when I went to Indo in 2003 from a doctor friend back in Australia. He said unless you were going somewhere like the deepest parts of Borneo for a long duration, don't bother with it.
