I'm thinking about teaching in Japan for a year. Any experiences?
Pros/Cons? Possible to save money? |

Nooo!!! You're too young! Don't do it!!!
(Yes, my experience was that bad, but hey, it's what YOU make of it. Make up your own mind). |

I have found that most people who are in Japan are there because they REALLY REALLY want to be there. If it seems like somewhere you really, really want to be, I figure you'd be happy regardless of whatever nonsense comes your way.
But if saving money is your priority, I have heard that nothing beats Korea... Outside of working for some oil-sheik in the middle east.
But hey, you got nothing to lose except the thousands of dollars needed to get set up there. Go for it. |

Japan is definitely a harder place to stay in and find a job, but it is worth it (more interesting, more to see, more to shop etc IMO). |
