Anyone else stuck at your public school job today with nothing to do? I was told to prep some cards for a game next week. Fine. Took 15 minutes. Now I just have 6 hours to kill. Anyone else in the same boat today?

Wow...that's a nightmare! I'd almost prefer teaching to that. Laughing

Yeah, bored senseless. Yesterday, the kids came for an hour and went home. Some public school opening ceremony thing. Jeez..what the hell do I do now? I bitched and they let me go after lunch.

Today is Friday and I told them I want to teach, so ok, I taught one class, the kids were out of control, threw a marker (cap was on) at one kid who wasn't listening, (my mistake, sorry), homeroom teacher complained, spent the next hour in a meeting with the principal and vice-principal basically asking "are you happy here?, what problems do you have?", etc, etc.

So, I said that I was sick of homeroom teachers sitting at their desk checking their e-mails while the kids are running around, fighting, on the cell phone, and bascially not listening to a word I say. I said my peace, thanked them for their time, and now sitting here for the next 5 hours.

What a life!?

My school took all the teachers out to lunch yesterday. It was nice, save for the fact that what we all had to eat is exactly what's on the programmed menu for today's lunch at school. Laughing
