| Just wondering if it is possible to get a three month visa by mistake, instead of the typical 1 yr. visa....I looked on my visa today and it says the expiry date is January 2007, although I only went to get it in October. I am confused, as are my bosses...Has this happened to anyone? Thx |

When does your passport expire?
Go back and ask them. |

If you are looking at the visa in your passport then yes, that is the date when the ENTRY visa expires.
IT IS NOT the expiry of your period of sojourn.
When you get the visa in your passport you have to enter Korea within 90 days. If you don't, it will expire.
If you look at the line above is says, "period of sojourn" and that should be marked 01Y (meaning you are allowed to stay for 1 year).
Within the first 90 days of your stay you are REQUIRED to go to the immigration office and register. At that time you will get your ARC (Alien registration card). It will also indicate your final day allowed in Korea (and should be 1 year from your entry date). |
