No luck with google, and they don't list it on container. I assume there's a ton of sugar in it?

It's a condiment. When have you ever known a condiment to be healthy?

It's traditionally made with ground gochu, ground glutinous rice (찹쌀가루), soybean paste (된장), salt and other various flavorings. Sugar, corn syrup, honey etc. can be added, but I don't know the specifics about certain brands.

But really, what does it matter? Are you really loading up on that much gochu jang? For me it can make stuff unbearably hot in quantities too small to worry about sugar.

Look at the nutrition label of the stuff sold in America, the labels' are required by law and gochujang is gochujang.

However, i doubt they are accurate. I once ate a korean ice cream (the ones that look like the stalk of corn) and it said only 3 grams of sugar.
