My name is Ben Westbrook; I am an ESL instructor living in Korea. I am also a playwright; Ive written and produced my own work off-off Broadway, and done a fair amount of press and publicity work for other projects there as well. I say these things only because I am filming a short with a number of talented individuals and looking for a female actress.
The film is a cinematic hoax of sorts, that is, it purports to have been made by a particular corporation, not the filmmaker. The story itself is one that speaks to simulated reality being used in the rehabilitation of violent offenders. This is a project that is being tailor-made for alternative media, namely Google Video. For the purpose of the streaming video, every contributor will need to be anonymous, however the complete short, with all contributors credited, will be made available at www.archive.org
The film is being shot in the style of corporate video. I will be going back to the US in March, and will have the finished project published online by then.
An actress should be around or under 100 lbs, have a youthful appearance, and be must willing to be picked up bodily for a few moments. This is a non-speaking role, and the action is quite simple, but crucial to the film. We will be shooting this in Daejeon. The remaining scenes will be filmed outdoors.
The film is made up of only five scenes, the last and longest scene, the one with all of the dialogue, has been filmed and edited.
I live in Daejeon, and all of the scenes are or have been filmed in the Daejeon area, however, if you live in Seoul or Busan, Id love to talk, but bear in mind, this is an in-house project put together by Haekwon instructors.
If you would be interested in learning more about the project, email me. [email protected] Even if you arent an acting veteran, this could be a good chance for you to add a thought-provoking project to your portfolio. Your scenes can all be shot in a single morning, with minimal rehearsal.
Best,
Ben |
