I am sure we all have some weird/moronic things we do in our classes. I for one, have plenty. In one particular class of young kids, I sing Europe's "The Final Countdown" song. I usually sing the main keyboard part..(you all know what part I'm talking about) and the main chorus. I do it in my best high pitched 80's pop metal voice and I got some of the kids doing it too....I usually do this at the end of said class almost everyday. So....what kind of fruity things do you do with your students???

Rock, paper, scissors. If they win, they get a cheap 10 won candy. If I win, I flick them on the head with my middle finger (hard).

PoK,

There really is no need for you to describe what you do...simply provide the link of you doing it!

back on topic...
i have one class that is pretty cool and creative. every month or so, we change our names. last month we were all fruits (i was apple), and this month we're all animals (i'm jellyfish). they choose the theme and their own names, we all draw pics of our new identities and write a short blurb about it. pics get posted on the wall.

This thread is so interesting to me on so many levels...I think I've been watching too much America's Top Model. Dear god, a sentence no straight man should ever say, I need a hobby.

Anytime that a kid complains about something, I snarl and say, "Nice story. Tell it to Readers' Digest!" (You have a pic. of Dave Mustaine; I couldn't resist.)

We have to read word lists everyday. I have all of the kids put a book on their head and read the list. If they can finish without droping the book, they get candy or stickers.

Ryst--great video of the worst singer AND dancer, EVER. I want that two minutes of my life back. That guy is pacing the stage like his wife is giving birth in the next room.
