Curious, what are your first reactions to the question: would engineering majors be expected to do well teaching ESL?

What majors would you prefer to see?

It doesn't really matter what Bachelor degree you hold. Some schools prefer English major, B.Ed, and TOESL certification. But any degree will get you in the door.

I recently hired a lawyer, a buisness major, Art history, and an Oxford grad. (Surprised about the Oxford grad taking a job here, as his degree would go a long way in the UK. But he was looking for travel and experience before seetling down.)
