Hello,

I am looking for an inexpensive color printer. I would prefer the printer to have all the cables and disks. Having full ink isn't that important I can buy ink or have them refilled at HomePlus.

I'm tired of having to deal with the hassle at school getting things printed.

Thanks.

You realise that the cost of a black and a color ink refill are about the same as a new Epson or HP printer with 2 new ink cartriges?

No I hadn't looked at that part. I checked out the cost of printers and about died, if I was sure the one I left in the States would be able to handle the voltage I'd just have it mailed. It's a $35 Lexmark basic printer. The basic printers here (that I saw) are going for 125K+, I saw that and didn't even look at the refills. That's why I was hoping someone would have one they'd be willing to sell.

Basic inkjet printers are about 50k won. If they don't have one at the downtown homeplus (I saw 2 different ones around that price at the buk-suwon homeplus 2 weeks ago) make a trip over to the e-mart at the bus station.

Ink refills run 15-20k for black and ~25 for color (depending on brand and model).

125k will get you a combo scanner, printer, copier. A cheap HP model can be had for as little as w68,000.

price - epson stylus model C-59 = w46,000

Thanks, I was planning on hitting E-mart and the electronic stores in Seoul (Technomart and Yongsan mart). I didn't realize they were the combo all-in-one printers. Some of them looked like regular basic printers, and at the time I checked them out, no one could speak English well enough to explain the features/stats of them, and my Korean is crap.

Thanks again Ttompatz.

If you are going to Yongsan...
http://pc.danawa.com/price_new.html?pc=pc&cate1=862&cate2=884

scroll down the left side of the page (lower left column) for model numbers and prices or get your Korea co-worker to help you. 2 day service usually - delivered to your door (or school as the case may be).

Ink refills or new cartridges are always expensive.
Have an HP Color Printer/Scanner/Copier at home in the US, that was valued at 80 USD(got it for free with mail-in rebate).
However the ink would run at least 25USD.

Over here i'm glad to be able to use the classroom laser printer and never have to worry about refilling or purchasing ink.

hey,
i have a semi-decent color printer that i'll give to you for free, with b/w & color "refill" cartriges. but they're the kind you inject into the existing cartridge. it has the cables and you can download the driver online.

let me know if you're interested. i'm near yongsan. (my new computer doesn't have the proper outlet, so it's useless to me.)
