I was looking at my credit card bill today. I paid for two major flights.

Incheon - Vientiane
was the cheapest one-way flight by I could find to SEA by about 100k (I looked into flights to Bangkok, Hanoi, Singapore and Ho Chi Minh) cost me about 450k including taxes and all that for a flight that lasts about 7 hours with a layover in BKK.

Singapore - Auckland
booked through Qantas online service cost me 460k and a flight time of about 13 hours due to a layover in Sydney.

If the flights are full, they're not overpriced, are they?

I'm flying out on feb 28.

No. But if they are full because of regulations which prevent competition between carriers which leads to a diminished capacity then, yes they are overpriced.

I would agree they could be expensive, but with flights full, they are not overpriced.

And speaking of competition in airlines, do you remember what happened when BA tried to buy Amercian?
