I am coming to korea in a couple weeks and would like to bring my cat. however, because it wont be 30 days since he received his vaccinations when I arrive-he might have to spend time in quarantine until the 30 days are up. I cant find any info on how much this might cost, anybody know?

My relatives just moved to Australia from Canada, and they were looking at bringing their dog, I know it was going to cost close to a grand. But that was for a med/large dog....

I would contact a humane society near you....

I wouldn't bring the cat. Quarantine is expensive and then after that YOU are responsible for watering and feeding and walking and whatever else for the animal. They have outside contractors that will do it, but its such a pain in the ass.
If I were you, I would have a friend send the cat later. We've sent our dog as cargo (not accompanied) twice. No problems.

In Korea, you'd have to keep your cat in the house all day. Then I guess take it for walks at the mountain or park (IF you're lucky enough to have one nearby, very rare...) your apartment (if you're coming as a teacher) will most likely be SMALL, unless you're a public school teacher outside of Seoul....

There are a lot of wild cats in Korea and despite their skinny appearance, I reckon they could be pretty tough. If your cat is domesticated, he / she might not fare too well against them...

I've never had a cat though, so don't know too much about their needs etc... my friend has two persians in a tiny officetel and they seem happy and healthy as could be...
