OK, so why was my thread about 1894 removed?

This isn't the first time a thread I've started has mysteriously disappeared. Why the hell would a thread about the reforms of 1894 get yanked? The mods here do a decent job, all-in-all, but I've never been a member of a site where so many threads mysteriously disappear for no reason.

Anyone got any explanations for why this seems to happen at this particular site so often? Does it happen when people pay good money to place job ads, too?

I had a thread deleted the other day, but that was followed by a polite explanation from a Mod who claimed it would start a flame war.

He/she was probably right.

Anyway, what were the reforms you're talking about? If they were in regards to Korean governmental history, I have read several books on the subject. However, I usually have 3 or 4 books going at once, so although I take in the information, my retention rate is crap.

(Except for stuff I'd prefer to forget.)

I've re-started it. I couldn't imagine a thread that could be less inflamitory than what I wrote.

I would agree, but you never know. People get bent out of shape by some pretty mundane things around here.

I thought the thread was quite interesting and I am a Korean history buff as of late (also specialized in Culture and Hermeneutics-biased historical perspectives while I was in University).
