Costco has rolled up carpets in solid and faux Persian patterns. Don't know about sizes, though, but they looked as if they'd look good in front of a sofa.
Cheaper than you'll find at E-Mart and the like.

That's quite an area you're looking to cover, Matt. I don't think you're going to find anything that large at Costco or really most places I've seen, which all sell rugs like Hapki describes -- patterned, frequently garish, and while not exactly "throw rugs", they're meant to cover smaller areas than the dimensions you want. Having them "cut to order" just isn't an option. They come pre-cut in sizes most Koreans want and pre-hemmed. I don't think you'll find places selling carpeting from gigantic rolls, where all you do is pick a colour & material, they unroll your desired length, snip it off and away you go. Ain't like that.
I had carpet tiles installed twice, but unlike back home, this too was by no means a cheap alternative to buying a large carpet. |

I just saw that Costco carpet you speak of. I believe it was on par with prices you'd pay at a Costco back home. Between 100,000 and 200,000, if memory serves.
Carpet at other places is just nutty expensive. Try one of those LG Home Interior places. Once you've seen one, you've seen 'em all. |

Lots of faux hardwood flooring... almost every Korean home has it. Cheap and prolific.
They don't use carpet because it interfers with the ondol heating.
Why would you heat the floor and then cover it with carpet and keep the heat (that is expensive to produce) out of your house? |
