By the time you pay the comission fees to exchange twice, I think its probably about the same as just wiring the money home. And much less hassle.
I would allot some extra time for traffic. Saturday every single Korean will be on the road. If you get to the airport early, just go have a drink and chill out. No big deal. Getting to the airport late REALLY sucks though. Is it possible for you take a train/subway and avoid the roads? At least you won't really hit any delays on the train.
The airport will probably be rather busy as well because a lot of people are going on vacation during Seollal, which is followed by public school spring break. |
