I just interviewed for a position with Gyeonggi English Village, and from what I've read and heard described thus far it sounds very much like some of the other English Villages. Although it does pay much higher than most of the public school jobs, I get a very uneasy feeling as to what is expected of me with this one. For one thing, the director who interviewed me described the position as that of an "Edutainer". Now having taught K-5 general music for several years I'm used to singing and dancing with the kids, but if I'm expected to dress up like a clown and construct animal balloons I draw the line.
If anyone has any insight as to this school (the bad and/or the good) I'd truly appreciate it. Also, how would you compare this to the typical Korean public school.
Again, thank you for your wisdom... |

Go ahead and sign up before someone else takes it.
It's one of the best gigs in Korea. |
