Is there anyone out there who knows about the Seobu area in the city of Pusan?

I understand that Seobu is made up of Seo-gu, Saha-gu and Youngdo-gu but information on the web about these areas seems to be sparse.

I'm looking for areas where the action is in Pusan - where the expats as well as younger Koreans go for nightlife, popular gyms, recreation and stores etc.

I've heard that Pusan National University, Kyungsung University, Haeundae and Seomyeon are good spots for all this, but what's the deal with Seobu? What's it like to live and work in Seobu compared to these other areas?

And, if Seobu isn't where the fun is, how hard or easy is it - and how long does it take on the subway to get to the places listed in the prior paragraph?

I'd greatly appreciate comments from people who can answer these questions. Thanks

It would take you at least 30 minutes to Seomyeon. 45 to PNU or Kyungsungdae. Over an hour to Haeundae .These are conservative estimates. You are kind of at the edge of the known world over there if you want to be in place with foreigners.

If its really important to have things to do nearby that involve foreigners, non-korean food, and western stuff in general, you're looking in the wrong place.

Try to stick to the four places you mentioend above, or at least on the subway near Seomyeon and between Seomyeon and Nopo-dong (NOT NoMpo dong) or Seomyeong and Jangsan. Or between Suyeong and Yeonsan-dong (less Western, but you are still close to everything)
