Anyone out there know if any of the ski fields have good special rates this year for the Solnal long weekend?
From previous years, I have to offer this tip:
it's the perfect time to go skiing in Korea.
Any other time of year - especially weekends - it's suicidal to try skiing on most decent fields, but during Solnal, the slopes are empty.
BTW, has anyone been up a hill this last weekend or during this week? I'm wondering what the snow's like now, and where, particularly after the rain today. |

HI-WON in Kangwando is FREE the entire month of Feb if you get there in the morning before noon. FREE, no charge for the lift, etc. If you have your own gear you'd be good to go. If you have to rent anything, better to do it at the shops along the way to the resort, as they're cheaper. |

Skiing in fields seems awfully boring, I prefer the slopes. |
