Valentine's day is here. Let's hear your love stories everyone. How are you planning on wooing your loved one this year?
My plan is to surprise her with a big ass bouquet of flowers and chocolates. But, I need something more, right? haha. We have been dating for about a month, so I think jewelry is out of the question for now. What do koreans expect? I have no idea. I suck at these days so bad.
Once went on a blind date with my friend. Accidently thought his gf was the one he was setting me up with. I was really confused and thought his gf (the other girl) was being really flirty with me. But, to save the friendship didn't want to say anything to him. Anyway, the second date was a really confussing when the wrong girl showed up. Nice.
So this thread is about love stories and love advice for the spcial day. What works folks? Let's help each other out. I need backup.

Try telling that to a gf without getting murdered. Good luck. |

My guess is this is your first Valentine's Day in Korea. Don't do anything. Let the woman come to you.
But forget about White Day and you're a dead man. |

This is Korea.. tomorrow the girl will give you chocolate and hearts....
But don't forget White Day (March 14) when it is YOUR TURN to do the romantic stuff....
If you do forget White Day you will be eating jajangmyung on Black day. |

| Denistron, if you're with a Korean girl, don't get her anything. She'll be impressed you understand her culture. |

Korean culture. Are you going to trample and spit all over it? Repect her culture, its the best thing you could do. |

| Buying someone a gift doesn't trample on anything. That's madness. I will get her something for White day as well, of course. I think she will be more impressed from getting roses opposed to nothing. I'm no rocket scientist here.... |

Its a mistake. For you it may be nothing but she will see it differently. |

She will think "Oh, this is awkward."
It's just like leaving a tip at a restaurant. You may think you're doing a nice thing, but they don't want it. It reeks of FOBishness. |

Wish I could take advantage of Korea's take on Valentine's Day and do nothing. However, my gf is not Korean, so that means flowers, etc.. Then I guess I might have to do something for her for White Day also since she'd be seeing other girls getting stuff. TWO romance holidays?! &$%@!!!
And what's with flower delivery being so expensive here? I guess they have to import them... is that it? I just spent 160,000 on 36 roses in a vase and a teddy bear with a few chocolates. Ouch.. |

Long stem or short stems??
Short stem roses are usually 10k per dozen and maybe 1/2 again tomorrow....
Long stems.... welll... gold is cheaper.
I hope it was a nice vase... |
