I've three interviews this week; one corperate which I know well about, and at these two places, of which I know very little. There's little information, and what there is, is vague.
Anybody know the lowdown of these places? Pm me.
Thanks! |

Are you single?
Go for the womens' university job.
If you are married, you'd better get your wife's input about the womens' university job. |

Where did you meet your wife? Was she your student at one time before you married?
I only ask because I know several foreigners in Korea who met their wives that way. And nearly every waygook I've met (uni teachers) has a story or two about uni girls falling for them while working at the uni. You don't even have to try -- it happens to the ugliest of us.
And those are at regular unis, where boys are around. Now, enter a womens' university.
Single male + womens' university = ???
Knowing how jealous some Korean women get, does my comment really seem that stupid, or warrant such a crude response? My gf, and a number of my former Korean co-workers at my previous job, chided/teased me about this very issue before I started work here. Only my girlfriend was serious. She knows that some Korean girls are westerner-crazy/Englishee crazy/etc..
She understands this about Koreans society very, very well.
Is this your school or something? I just don't understand why you flew off the handle like that. |

I still think it is a foolish worry. If your gf/wife cannot handle you working there then she has issues. I used to work at a womens university and my wife was very excited when I got that job, no worries there. |

I met her on the 마을 버스 and she talked to me first. |

My buddy just had an interview at Hanyang Womens University. He seemed pretty skeptical about it. If you have any info post it or PM me so I can pass it on to him. Thanks. |

justin:
Is your buddy good-looking with wavy hair? I had the interview today....2.0 and no housing, 20+ hours. Don't think I'll take it.
The other two are good, though. I'll not be working at the intitute advertised here on Dave's. It looks both will offer me the job, and I don't know which one to choose! |

Define good looking.
He told me the base salary is 2 million for 12 hours, with 8 hours mandatory overtime (pay amount unknown). No housing.
Anyone else have any info on Hanyang Women University? |

Justin: Good-looking=hunk.
Yep, that's pretty much it. The classes are three 50 minute sessions, and it's likely you'll teach more than 20 hours.
Got an offer from Daejin. |
