Last weekend I saw the Japanese band Hat Trickers.
It seems every Japanese band I've seen is acting a lot more than necessary. Hat Trickers weren't as over-the-top as they look, but I remember walking out on Guitar Wolf last year.

The uncut version of their video for "Obscure" is one of the most screwed up videos I've ever seen. It's on YouTube, but I fear that linking to it might get me in trouble. It involves demons, dismemberment, naked possessed geisha girls, and the lead singer throwing up. Repeatedly.
On the lighter side, I also really like Gackt, mostly because I liked him in Malice Mizer.
