I know this was recently mentioned on another thread, but I think that was about the Hongdae branch if I remember rightly. Well anyway, last night I had the pleasure of drinking in the Gangnam branch and have to say I was very, very impressed. The draft beer was excellent quality, and even though it was a little pricey, I felt that the general ambience in the place certainly gave me value for money. I'll be going there again sometime soon!

I guess they didn't play Britney Spears live in concert on a big screen non-stop, like they did when I was there, then?

hey, we saw britney, too!!

their food is NOT czech. i was disappointed with that. and they don't have the czech liquors that they were showing off above the bar.

but i enjoyed that "metre of beer" or whatever it's called. the dark rocks!

Actually it was Michael Jackson! Then as we left Westlife were just starting. Despite this, I still managed to really enjoy the place. And, as KWhitehead said, the dark certainly does rule! Cool

Hey Tiger Fancini, I know you know where DGBD is, so you can find Castle Praha Hongdae. Just stand outside DGBD on the street and look for what appears to be a giant medieval church. In the basement is the Castle Praha. The food and drinks are identical, but the atmosphere is a thousand times nicer.

Yew blokes gotta try out Platinum...don't let the pretentious name scare you, that's just to fill up the seats upstairs and on the main floor, go to the basement and order the "Morphine". Wicked nice, I promise.

Been there. It's good, too.

There's a basement?!

Yeah, I thought that was either the only place they serve beer or the only place they serve foreigners. You mean I choked on smoke all night and got yelled at by some drunk Korean chick when I could have had cloth napkins and more ambiance? Damn.
