I need to know if things shut down here - my semi-unreliable korean connection (information changes depending on what day I ask) has mentioned that I might have trouble getting food from grocery stores.
And - is the subway going to be jam packed? |

What about the bars and restaurants in Itaewon?
Are they closed too? |

Nothing is open this weekend. You should have bought massive quantitites of food last Thursday. BIG MISTAKE.
Now you're going to watch you starve. |

Most things were open in Itaewon today--I was there between 11 and 4 or so.
Tomorrow (Sunday) morning is the real holiday. Nothing anywhere will be open, but then few things are ever open on Sunday morning. Some things will open up in the afternoon and even more in the evening.
Monday will be like today--many places, especially bars/restaurants, open. The days of everything being closed for all 3 days are over.
I rode 6 subways today and only had to stand on one of them. There were even fewer people riding in the late afternoon than there were this morning. |

| Yes, most things will be closed Sunday. I was in E-Mart on Friday and my wife said they will be open on Monday. Also CostCo will be open on Monday as well. I'm not sure about anything else. |
