I bought a new notebook today from the web and it came pre-loaded with vista
All i had to do was switch it on and let windows load files by itself

Then I had to make a password which i did and I was taken to the welcome screen and every time i type in my password I get this message:

"로그온이 user profile service 서비스에서 실패되었습니다
사용자 프로필을 로드할 수 없습니다

Now, I know what that means in English
What I don't know is how to fix this problem

Does anyone have any idea how I can actually bypass this problem or fix it?
Thanks in advance

You will probably need to contact microsoft or else reinstall Vista. If you can't remember the password there isn't much you can do.

I assume you've tried typing in your password with caps lock on and off. tried different possible typos etc..

You may also want to try typing the password with the 한/영 settings different. It's possible you set your password in Korean, but not English by accidentally having clicked the 한/영 key.

good luck.

Thanks for the reply but i since found out that its not password related because I can logon in safe mode with my password

In any case I disabled the password in safe mode but still I can't get past the welcome screen in regular mode......its possible in safe mode startup though

Does anyone know what I can do?

FYI: there are no programs loaded on the notebook and its not connected to the internet

Thanks Beaver but like I said in my reply, its not a case of wrong or forgotten password
I am the sole user and administrator of my new notebook and I disabled the password and I still cant get past the welcome screen except in safe mode

Anyone have other solution?

That should work anyway. It'll do a repair and reset everything.

hmmm

My problem is maybe with vista. Have you tried not entering anything but just pressing the logon button (or whatever Vista has)?

yeah the compaq online support said if it works in safe mode and not in regular mode it means that some programs cant load or are prevented from loading to protect the system
Also said I must take it back because they (the seller) did something wrong at the install
Thanks for the help
