The best Torrent site I've found so far is 'The Vault'. Loads of really good stuff.
I just downloaded 'Shaun Of The Dead' and the complete works of Van Halen and Pink Floyd, plus a load of blues stuff music and some cool documentaries. It's a funky fast collection of torrents and well worth it, the best site I've found so far.
I regularly get very, very fast download speeds. Currently downloading GTA at 1kbs (ouch) but getting the Bjorks greatest hits at 65 and Pixies- wave of mutilation at 153kbs. Pretty good in my book except for the crappy GTA torrent. |

Help guys-girls...
Torrent related but not quite in this thread. I got a few downloads that I are compressed winrar thingies that need a password to get them unzipped. It is pretty annoying, any tips as to where to locate passwords for incrypted winrar files from BT?
Cheers... |

a good music site is http://oink.me.uk
as for your passwords- look for a doc. file or if there is a website link it is usually there or it is just the website name. |

somewhere along the downloading process you will/should find a website address posted, maybe identifying the creator of the file or something. the web addy might be in the actual file name, listed on the d/l page of supernova or whichever site you used or in the actual torrent itself.
go to that site and you'll probably find the password you need... |

I just started with this and find that Kazaa is quicker.
I'm downloading 2 shows and the torrent is saying that I will have to wait up to 32 hours; Kazaa would take about 8 hours, somtimes less.
Any suggestions on making the torrent faster.
Note: I'm in Korea on broadband(cable) computer. |

I've been using ABC client http://pingpong-abc.sourceforge.net/
The main problem with slow downloads is BT's unlimited uploads. ABC has global upload settings that allow a smooth flow out of your computer, and that gives you a better flow in. My max is 50 kBs upload, and I then set the max uploads to between 10 and 20. These "handshakes" give you more downloads, ie, the people you are uploading to are downloading to you at the same time. I typically download Smallville in 2 to 3 hours. |

Yeah, Bittorrent positively flies for me, once I got Azareus running nicely. The slow beastie is E-Mule, once I finish downloading those Arirang how to speak Korean and a couple of other things I've been downloading for over a week now I doubt I'll ever turn it on again.
Kazaa makes my computer sicker than a Eurotrash sex tourist on Patpong Street without a ...
Another pretty good torrent site is

which I think is Argentinian, lots of movies dubbed into Spanish as well as the English ones. Watch Amores Perros, if you haven't seen it, in Spanish with English subs. |
