I bought a mountain bike on Ebay. It's used. It was expensive.
I have a question: If I already owned a bike and mailed it here to myself, would I still have to pay the tariff? What if my dad bought it and mailed it to me? Whats the difference between doing that and just having the seller say its a gift? Has anyone bought an expensive thing on Ebay before? I already know that if its less that 100$ you dont have to pay the tax... but what about used things that cost more than 100$? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. |

I want to buy a motorcycle and ship it to myself too, but am unaware if it's even worth it as opposed to buying one off one of the Korean motorcycle websites. Seems like Japanese bikes back home are much cheaper. |

I've bought 3 laptops, 2 highend digital cameras and a digital camcorder. Duty for the laptops was 10% (including the tax). The other stuff was, I think 18%. |
