| Dongdaemun at the fabric market. If you take the subway to Dongdaemun station I think the place is called Dongdaemun shopping town. Keep going up until you git the fourth or fifth floor and you will find beads of every shape, color, size and material. I believe it is closed on Sundays and is only open until about 4 on Saturday. |

If you get off the subway at dongdaemun stadium and take exit 14, you walk straight for about 10-15 minutes. you pass all the department stores (doota, migliore, etc...) cross a small street, still walking straight, and reach an intersection.
cross the big street (you will see the water reclamation project stream) and turn left. you will see a big building and entrance with some bedding stores out front. walk down the walkway in between the separated building and turn into the stores. i suggest turning left. look for the elevator sign. go to the 5th floor. there you will see beads, pearls, and craft stuff for what seems like miles.....
these seem like confusing directions, but if you follow them you should have no problems. people are really nice and helpful, too. take a small dictionary if you are worried...and with a few words they will point you in the right direction. |

| There is one in Gangnam station but it's pretty small. There is a good shop though you can buy finished products and rebuild. There is also one in the basement of Omokoyo station in the basement. Don't go towards the Hyundai department store but to the right and then to the right again at the pseudo italian restaurant. It's on the right side of the hall. Sadly the prices are definitely not like Thailand. |
