i recently purchased an xbox with GOW and winning eleven x.. and just wondering if anyone else who has live gold membership is up for some online gaming... as i am fed up with the lag i get when i play with friends in uk on GOW. and i really want to play winning eleven with someone who speaks some english.

Little of topic scarebare but could you answer a couple of questions. Did you buy GOW in Korea? Is it in Korean...and if so, can you change the language? Can you play GOW on local servers without lag?

The language issue is really bugging me. I've seen some demos at the department store for Warfighter. It looks good...but all in Korean. Do all these games have language options? If so I'll go buy a 360 this spring and come play!

All Western made games will have English menus. When you first start up the Xbox, you select the language options. Only Japanese games like Blue Dragon and Winning Eleven will not have English. If you're serious you can check on Play-Asia. I bought a 360 here and four games and all are in English. Gears of War, Oblivion, PGR3 and Fight Night 3.

Gears of War is extemely fast even on foreign servers I haven't encountered lag and my connection isn't even that fast.

Yeah I got GOW and NHL 2007, along with Lost Planet, After Dark Zero, Call Of Duty 3, Rainbow Six Las Vegas, FEAR, etc. Username is the same as here on daves:

i now know 5 other korean based gamers that all have gow thats 6 a side if we can ever be online at the same time....

oh... this might be of interest... i didnt know about it anyway...

i got my mumsie to send over my copy of halo 2 when i bought my xbox here in korea and it arrived a few days ago. it has PAL region coding but plays perfectly well.. talked to a few people and say it should be good for all games and region codes because of the emulater the 360 uses to play those old xbox games.
