WHAT IS THE VAGINA MONOLOGUE?

WHAT IS V-DAY?
Eve Ensler helped open up mainstream discussion about women's sexuality with the wildly popular "Vagina Monologues." Those first performances of the Vagina Monologues have since grown into a nonprofit organization that distributes funds to grassroots, national and international organizations and programs that work to stop violence against women and girls. In eight years, the V-Day movement has raised over 30 million dollars.

This past year, the worldwide V-Day campaign spotlighted the issue of comfort women and a special celebrity performance of The Vagina Monologues ran in Seoul from Sept to November 2006. The 'V' in V-Day stands for Victory, Valentine and Vagina. Visit vday.org for more information.
