I was coming back from Thailand a week or so ago and I know this isn't news to anyone who's been to a Korean men's washroom, but I thought it was disgusting and embarassing to see what had become of the airport washroom closest to our departure gate. The only one in the whole airport, I'm sure, that more closely resembles a horse trough then anything else. Amazing how it transformed from sanitary when I first arrived to a toilet paper covered soggy mess with water dripping off the sink and filling up the place. Are there any other people in the world with similar washing habits? And another question to the women on this board, are Korean women's washrooms similar to the trough I've described here, or for that matter any Men's public washroom in Korea?

Dude, Thai bathrooms are nothing to write home about either. Worse, actually.

I still don't understand why Korean men have the need to mess up every bathroom they go into all over the world so much so that it becomes safety hazard for walking in and you can't even clean up against the sink because you'll get soaking wet. You all missed the point. Brilliant of you.

Your OP didn't really make much sense, to be honest.

But I will say that the most disgraceful airport bathroom I've seen was in LAX. I was horrified at the condition of it. Lots of burnt out light bulbs, no soap or paper towels, smell like siht, water everywhere.. ugh. That whole airport is embarrassing, right down to the monkeys they employ.

true that. thai bathrooms can be really bad, and the worst are always found in public places, especially bus/ train/ ferry stations (when you really need one).

The problems of Korean restrooms are caused by:

1. Too cheap to buy paper towels. Air blower broken (bldg. doesn't want to pay to fix it). Result: K-men shake wet hands all over counter.
2. K-men spit on the floor
3. K-men smoke in there
4. Soap is not used to clean. Only a damp mop that's soaked in piss. Piss gets spread around all over the place.
5. Poop-paper baskets

Anyone remember the thread 3 years ago about the "phantom sh-tter" working at the Chaebol? Now that one was hilarious.

At my wife's hospital the men's bathroom on the first floor has a sink that looks exactly like an animal trough. It's wide enough to catch all the adjosshi slop. I guess the adjumas got tired of always cleaning up after the animals.
