If you had to choose between the Gyeonggi, Chungam, or Seoul Office of Education, which one would you choose?

The contracts seem virtually identical, except the GPOE wants to deduct 300,000 won for the first three months (however, I have a recruiter looking into removing that clause from the contract).

Any comparative info would be much appreciated!

If the contracts are nearly identical, it really doesn't matter.

Where do you want to live?

I guess I was wanting to know if anyone has had experience with these organizations. From what I've read, they're all government-run and employment conditions vary greatly.

Are the three cities roughly the same in terms of living conditions?

Are there better options for working in the public school system?

Except for Seoul, you're talking about "provinces" not cities.

Wherever you went you could get the best conditions on paper, but a lot depends on the school you end up with and its staff.

Bosingtan's question was an excellent one that you should ask yourself first of all.

I don't know if you could get small schools in Seoul, but in the provinces you could end up in a rural school and even have to teach in more than one school. It can be nice to have less students to teach, but if you're in a rural area you could feel lonely. Some small schools are quite close to Seoul, though.

At any rate, you need to know what you want and then you can tell your recruiter what you're looking for and see what he has to offer.
