| Possibly. But I would say that most of the self claimed balla's you see these days aren't real ballas! To be a balla' without actually ballin' I believe you have to project the image of what a balla' is, this does however raise the question of whether one can actually be a balla' with no association to the game, but one must exercise care in this judgement. What a balla' is in the mainstream quite possibly projects how a real balla' behaves while not actually ballin', the evidence being that hip-hop stars claiming to be ballas' dress in baggy clothes and bling and not sweaty basketball clothing ready to participate in an actual event of professional ball. I guess the underlying factor in all of this is you have to look very carefully at the balla' in question and judge for yourself if they truly possess the talent of a balla' or falsely project their ballin' self image. Either that, or they could be just out pimpin'. |

No. Such a person would be referred to as a "fake balla" or "fake player (fake playa)." Many sages have exposed this breed of poser. One such poet is Chingy. Consider the following masterful lines of Chingy:
