I noticed this was making a lot of international news.

It was kind of reported as a bank trying to be thoughtful to its employees, doing it in a slightly nutty way. But I noticed something. They only sent female employees. Not the males. They got some match making service to find them men.
Is the bank really being as kind? Or, knowing Korea, is there an underhanded motive. Consider, as I've noted, they only sent women. There are presumably a lot of unhappy single males in the company?
Isn't it to the bank's advantage to fix these women up, find them husbands, so they'll get married and quit, allowing the bank to hire a new crop of young thangs to work the teller windows? A bank doesn't want to raise anyone's ire by firing a woman who makes the career limiting move of aging past 30. So how to thin the herd? Ah, find them husbands. But since the bank is working them to death, they don't have time on their own to find mates. It's a win win for the bank. |

Well, sending them to that South Korean run resort in North Korea. Mount Kumgang or whatever. The men chosen are, of course, South Korean as well. I think the NK angle made it even wackier in the press. |

| One of my wife's friends was set up with a successful lawyer on one of Korea's top matchmaking companies. He was so nice, he allowed her to remain a virgin before their wedding night. Then they got married, and she found out he's a coprophile. He ambushed her in the washroom, smeared her with poo until he ejaculated, and she ran away and divorced him. She still apparently has a rash all over her body too. Plus, she can't do anything to him because he's a very powerful lawyer. |

Awesome! A friend in Korea (whitey) started dating this GI. He was also very nice. He was studying with the Defense Language Institute thingy. He was learning Korean and had a couple other languages under his belt. He hated Bush. Everything was meshing... until... he was like "can you pee on me?" "What? No way!" So he proceeded to pee his own pants and then wanted to make love...
And that was that.
Coming back to that other topic about women complaining they can't find a nice guy... seems like the nice guys just have some super hidden kinks. |

Fetish: Something, such as a material object or a nonsexual part of the body, that arouses sexual desire and may become necessary for sexual gratification.
A preference for something (blond hair, epicanthic folds, etc.) isn't really a fetish, per se. If the only way you can climax is using her shoe filled with hand cream or rubbing yourself with feces, that would be a fetish.

Ah, but it is. Even with the DSMV IV definition you posted, two major words standout, "Something" and "May". The something can be anything, from urination, to torure, to electroshock, to dressing up in costumes. This can be further extended into physical attributes, i.e. if most of your sexual partners are blondes with small breasts, then that may be acting as your fetish- as that is turning you on.
May is the other one. While many fetishists do need their specific triggers to reach orgasm, they are by far not the majority. The majority of fetishists are people like you and me, who just enjoy a certain niche sexual act, or have a preference in one way or another.
Admittedly, my definition is coming more from the "fetish" scene, and less from the clinical diagnosis standpoint, but I believe you see where I'm going with this. |

What's the problem? It's not like HE asked to pee in HER mouth. He wanted to be peed on. What's the problem, I say. I'd gladly pee on anyone that asked me to, since I hate most people anyway. |

No, I don't. I use fetish in the clinical sense. There is some element, usually a non sexual cue or a need to employ a device (butt plug), that you require to achieve sexual satisfaction. It's disengenous to claim a preference is a fetish. "I prefer Asian women but I would date and be happy with any woman I find attractive (black, white, or one of those green star trek women)" is not a fetish. "I only date Asian women" and if you had an attractive black woman offering herself to you and you turned her down, that would be closer to a fetish in my book. |
