Yesterday at the gym as I was having to dodge children playing on the equipment and a housewife lounging on the leg curl while deep in conversation on her cellphone I was ready to leave and tell Kim Jong-Il to push the damn button on the peninsula.

However, as always, Koreans will then bowl you over with their kindness and generosity. Today at the end of year lunch at school, I was stunned to receive a white gold necklace from the Korean English teachers. It stuff like this that reminds me that no matter how irritating I find them at times, I can never really hate Koreans.

OMG, OMG! You, me? Exact same wish! Surprised It's the one I make every time I'm on the plane out of here. Doesn't even require some nitwit getting in my way, just being on the plane out of here is all it takes.

Yeah, well, that's just way too schmaltzy for my taste. Your first para was ace though. Cool

This is the post of the year!

Congrats!

Your last sentence must not fall into enemy hands, C.L.G.

Post-Scriptum:

Your love-hate relationship with the Hankookin might just turn into a purely hate-hate one should you wake up one day and be a caucasian male or a negroid male or female.

In any case, salut on your wonderfully generous gift from your Korean co-workers. I'm feeling quite happy for you and I'm about to go to the fridge to score a cold one in honor of you, C.L.G.

God bless.

Respectfully,

Roch

Crazylemongirl,

If I were a chick, I'd be you, Kermo, and Peppermint all wrapped up in leather and high heels and a pink feather boa and I'd be walking all over Koreans on the subway everyday and I'd never look back, not even once.

If you go to Apgujeong in Seoul, you could request that you get a sex change operation out of which you'd be the next C.L.G. No prob, dude.

I'm a little weirded out about your comments. I would like to think that the reason I recieved the gift had little to do with my skin color and possession of two X chromosomes and more to do with the fact that aside from putting a lot of time and effort into teaching, I also learned some of the language and did try to mold myself as much as possible to the culture within my school. It also discounts any hardships that I've faced trying to adapt to life here, because Korean culture can be just as harsh on white woman as other foreigners. Actually I'm not weirded out I'm very offended.
