Manly men, or at least actors playing manly men. So manly that he'd make even the most sensitive new-aged, "peace and love" types go, F*&% YEAH! when he threw down.

Toshiro Mifune

Clint Eastwood

Steve McQueen

Bruce Lee

Lee Van Cleef

Who else?

The entire cast of 'Straight to Hell' is baaaaaaaaaaaaad. Joe Strummer combs his hair with gasoline. Cy Richardson makes the "Pulp Fiction" Sam Jackson look like Bill Cosby, in a mumu, on quaaludes and e.
And the Pogues are caffeine-addict Irish cowboys with guns.
What's not to like?
Oh, right--it's got pre-surgery Courtney Love in it...

Even artsy types like Jim Jarmusch are bad-asses in that movie. He yells, at one point, "Don't get 'em in the head! I'll be needing their heads for my wall!"

But for all-time best-ever movie manlyman, I gotta go with Bruce Campbell in "Army of Darkness."

Good choice on Ash. The Afron Samurai is a nice new addition to the badass libary. Even if he is animated. Anyone else heard the news they are trying to remake Escape From New York. Snake Plissken needs no updating dammit!

I wouldn't call him a "bad-ass" but The Duke should definitely be on the list of manly actors.

Clint Eastwood

John Wayne

Toshiro Mifune

Hugh Jackman (as Wolverine)

Paul Newman

Beat Takeshi? I would before but in his recent movies and TV appearances he looks like a real DORK. So, he lost cool points in my book.

Seeing Frank Miller's name reminds me of Marv from Sin City. He has the best last words ever when they've got him on the chair. When he's being read last rites, he says something to the effect of "Can we hurry this up? I haven't got all day."
