If you can read hangeul, you can buy online and pay by bank transfer. If you have internet banking, you can have your phonecard going in under 30mins.
I use www.phonecard.co.kr - on this site you can compare prices and buy new phonecards, or "recharge" ones you already have (that they sell on the site). |

Hi,
I believe that I provide the best phonecards in Korea.
When you buy a phonecard, you must check what increments it charges you. Too many phonecards are charging you with increments of 3 minutes. That means, even if you use 1.5 minutes you will get charged for 3 minutes. Likewise, if you use 4.5 minutes it charges you 6 minutes.
However, my phonecard charges you with increment of 1 minute.
The rate to the US, for example, is 44 won/minute from a land-line phone while 86 won/minute from a cell phone.

I pay 20.00 US for 12 hours to north america. and thats using my cell phone.
I found a great site for international phone cards.
I think 20 US for 12 hours is pretty good for a phone card |

DONT BUY A CARD THAT REQUIRES YOU TO DIAL AN 013 NUMBER TO ACCESS IT!!!!!!!!!!
I had a 30,000 won charge on my KT bill for using it in addition to the price of my card.
Yahoo messenger with voice is good, used it a lot last year when the wife was in the states |

| I use yahoo to call Korean numbers. The international yahoo rate from an American yahoo account is 5 cents/minute to call a cell phone and I think calling a land line was around 2 cents/minute. -Jeff |
