I've had a belkin wireless G router. the first couple of weeks it worked fine. it was really fast. A bit slower than the speeds my computer computer. Then last week it really slowed down. My computer download speed is still good. so it is just the wireless router. any ideas why this might have happened?

Maybe someone is hijacking your connection and saturating the bandwidth. Is your connection secure against other connections being made besides for you?

Does someone have a 900 mhz cellphone around? That can be a cause. Try changing the router transmit channel to something at least 3 numbers away.

'm pretty sure that somebody is not stealing my bandwidth. I've set up a password and i've checked the user log and i'm the only one who has a record on there.

Whenever I am not using my router i turn the power off so i don't think unplugging it will make a difference. thanks for the suggestions. anymore?

My money is on some kind of interference. Switch those channels.

Can you adjust the mtu on that router?

Try lowering the Mtu to 1452.
