Figure as much the OP would talk of 2 things, missing korea and getting drunk. That's all you fools talk of anyways. Hate where you come from, except for the food.

It's just an internet board man. Lighten up. I haven't seen anything profound from you yet either. Just trolling around, slagging people who don't fit your mold. Pretty immature really.

An honest question, not meant to start a silly scrap, but why exactly do you post here anyways?

I'm a middle school teacher working in a small town outside of Seoul, but I'm planning a trip to Seoul on the first weekend of March. I'll be going to the excellent Platinum restaurant/microbrewery in Gangnam, Seoul, for some great food and real beer. If any other teachers are interested in coming to meet other teachers and talk about their plans for the coming semester, please let me know and I'll organise a group booking. I can also recommend a comfortable ensuite guesthouse for a reasonable price.

Thanks, sounds cool. I may be going to Seoul next weekend also. If so, I will check it out on Saturday night.

Platinum is gold!!! Make sure you reserve your table because it gets extremely busy on the weekends. Another tip, it costs more to sit upstairs because that's where the buffet is.

Yeah, I'll be upstairs because the food is great and the beer is free. It's about 25,000 for all you can eat and drink from 6-9:30pm.

Is it just an eat-and-drink place, or do they have music too?
And the cuisine...nationality(ies) offered?

It's not a place to go for music. As for the cuisine...there's sushi (Japanese), pizza and cheesy chips (Western), bulgogi (Korean), tangsuyu etc, so there should be enough to keep everyone happy. For dessert there's a chocolate fountain and accompanying fruit and marshmallows for those that way inclined.

Hmm... sushi and western pizza. Interesting combination. Sounds good to me.
