I know quite a bit about modern Japanese literature as I've lived there several years and so much has been translated to English.
And I just checked 'famous Koreans' at Wikipedia and got these author's names:
Jeong Cheol (or Chong Ch'ol)
Kang Chol-hwan, author of The Aquariums of Pyongyang
Ko Un, poet (born 1933)
Joo Duk-In (poet based in Australia, author of the Meaning of Meanings novel published by Bloomsbury) - I even googled up this one and got squat.
Pretty slim pickings
Can anyone tell us more about these authors (such as the titles of their works) or any other authors' works who have been translated into English?
