Ok -
I'd appreciate any Pusan folks in the know, and who can weigh in on this to do so; I'm just taking a rough poll.
Here are the things that are important to me: better chances of getting a decent apartment, having lots of cool places to hang out nearby; having gyms close to where I live for after-work workouts; good shopping (food, clothes) opportunities; being able to get into organized sports like soccer leagues; hiking; golfing...and being able to meet westerners as well as younger Koreans who like to go out and party. Good nightlife/ bars / clubs / coffee houses etc.
Yeah, and who doesn't want all this, right?
So here's the question: with these priorities in mind, who thinks Dongnae would be a better place to live and who thinks Haeundae would be better? And why? Feel free to embellish on whatever factors I haven't mentioned.
I know both these areas are very good. From all the accounts I've read, it seems like a wash, a coin flip. I just thought I'd make my own post to see what people would say about comparing the two places when asked directly.
Thank you all. |

Seriously, where the hell is Donghae?
I live in Haeundae, and I've got everythig you listed. Except the sports. Foreigners are too alcoholic to do that kinda thing here. There is pickup beach volleyball in the summer tho. Can't wait for summer. |
