i had a fair go at it, but i know now that teaching young kids isn't for me. the stress i had from the first few weeks of classes has subsided and it all got a bit easier, and while i am still thinking of staying on for the full year if only so i finish what i started, i may like to take advantage of a different opportunity that's come up.
so my question is, am i able to give my 2 months notice at 4 months [taking my time working at the school to the 6 month mark] and not have to pay back the school for my flight here? or am i supposed to wait until 6 months before giving the notice?

As long as you have worked for six months then you do not have to return the airfare. So, to answer your question, you can hand in your notice at four months. However, if you are working for a hagwon, things might be a little complicated as they may make things difficult for you depending on the personality of the owner.
