(No, I'm not going Igothisguitar on y'all)
I'm talking the TV series. Anyone watch this series? It ran after Lost. I think it got a strong start in the ratings but viewers quickly drifted off. I stopped downloading it after about 4 episodes. I kind of intended to check it out again but then I heard it was canceled after the first season. I figured, meh, last thing I need to do is watch a series that has some mystery with no resolution. Anyway, turns out they gave the writers enough warning about the cancellation and they wrapped up the story by the end. So, I guess one can look at it as one 24 episode mini series.
Long story short, I downloaded it and I'm slowly working through it via my PDA on the subway. It's really not bad. |

Actually, the series ends with a HUGE cliffhanger, and nothing is ever answered...
Sorry to ruin that for you, but I wasn't sure what's worse - knowing that there isn't a clear-cut ending, or expecting one and not getting it... |

Hey,
It was one of my favourite t.v. shows and I was SUPER pissed when it got cancelled. It was filmed well and the acting was great too. Grrr..... I left Canada, and so I missed a number of episodes. There's no point in watching them now. |

Man I hate it when they do that. I liked Invasion, but I also like Huff which they did the very same thing. |

William Fichtner (One of my favorite actors) was the same actor who played the gay detective in that movie What's the Worst That Could Happen? ( 2001 )
He did a great role in that movie.
Martin Lawrence and Danny DeVito were also in it... |

I DLed it long ago, got through the first 10 eps, then got distracted by other stuff. Just started watching it again, but not enthused about it knowing it was (a) cancelled and (b) has a huge cliffhanger. I got burned by Vanished that way too, and it sucked. At least Kidnapped had the decency to tie up loose ends before getting cancelled. |

Okay I'm up to the part where the guy cuts his new arm off with the chainsaw. I can't believe anyone is going to do that. And the next episode is like a whole pile of, presumably, unintentional humor... the cop trying to hide his newly armless deputy. It smacks of The Trouble with Harry.
And then a few eps in they build the little girl a treehouse. After a HURRICANE WHEN EVERYONE IS REBUILDING they have enough wood to build a two story treehouse? |

Okay I finished watching all 22 episodes. The series does actually wrap up the story pretty well. Episode 21 looked like the season end cliff hanger but then there was an episode 22 that pretty much brought the series to something of an appropriate end. Granted it left some thing open ended, however, a lot of movies end that way as well. It is a legitimate form of story telling. I recall the final Dune novel ending in such a way as to be both an end to the series but providing sufficient hooks for another book.
I do like how the sheriff was a rather dark and evil character at the beginning of the season but they slowly brought you into his world. |

I liked it. I think I watched all eps in a 3-day binge about a year ago. |

loved the show, hated to see it canceled. Even emailed the tv critic of the Austin paper lamenting its demise last spring
I've become a fan of William Fichtner because of that show |
