There is an ad on the job site for Wonkwang uni; ok guys, imagine a sweet young thing asks what you do and your response is
"Wonkwang".

I wouldn't disregard a job on the basis of that. The shame of having to put "brainy English" on a resume might give me pause though.

Yeah, there are all sorts of great hagwon names out there, everything from the pseudo-impressive (The Princeton Elite CEO Fast-Track Training Institute) to the jolly (Snappy English Academy or One-Two-Buckle-My-Shoe Happy Kids' Perky Playland).

Snappy English Academy. I often see their bongo-bus near my home, and a few times I've seen a Wonderland bongo-bus.

I would be loathe to have Toss English on my CV. That always cracks me up when I see it on my way into Seoul.
Although, I am sure it is a fine place to work. Very Happy

Seriously. There are just some places that I would never be able to work at, no matter how good the offer.

I could never, ever expect to be taken serioulsy outside of Korea, and ESP outside of ESL if I had "Toss English" or "Ding Ding Dang" on my resume. I'd be one of those guys who's resume travels around the company as the joke of the day.
